About Wellhouse

Wellhouse Ranch Ministries Mission Statement

“The greatest disease in the West today is not TB or leprosy; it is being unwanted, unloved, and uncared for. We can cure physical diseases with medicine, but the only cure for loneliness, despair, and hopelessness is love. There are many in the world who are dying for a piece of bread but there are many more dying for a little love. The poverty in the West is a different kind of poverty—it is not only a poverty of loneliness but also of spirituality. There’s a hunger for love, as there is a hunger for God.” (Mother Teresa)

We serve those who suffer without charge, never treating their pain as a commodity or their need as a marketing objective. We recognize the need within our world community and consumer culture for such a unique outreach, where people immediately receive competent and compassionate care that is not for sale—where the first question is “How may we help you?” versus “May I please see your insurance card?” Honoring the life statement of Nobel Peace Prize recipient, Mother Teresa: “What we do, we do beautifully, for we do it for God.” Our vision is to offer this creative outreach within a non-institutional, compassionate Home of Hospitality for our local regions and for guests coming from other areas around the world, without fees for our unmercenary humanitarian services.

The Wellhouse Mission is dedicated to saving lives and improving the health, education, well-being and healing of individuals, couples, and families within our United States Military, Native American, and Civilian Populations. We facilitate compassionate and competent integration of genuine faith with counseling, medicine, the arts, education, and nature as a “hospital” for the healing of the human heart. We also specialize in outreach to cancer patients and their families, and those experiencing other forms of medical crisis, loss, grief, pain and suffering. We facilitate wholeness of heart, mind, body, and soul.

Statement of Purpose

Forty percent of suicides in America tragically occur within our United States Military. Classes and teachers within universities and high schools simply do not exist for in-depth preparation in how to cope with the inevitable wounds and increasing stress within marriages, family and work relationships, or for living as single people within the enormous challenges of today’s world. Wellhouse Ranch Ministries is committed to pursuing optimum health and well-being of the whole person.Through the sensitive application of our mission statement, we are seeking to establish a place of hope for individuals, couples, and families desiring improved health, better ways of coping that really work within their daily lives, harmonious personal and professional relationships, those in medical crisis and other forms of pain, loss and grief. We provide spiritual support, counseling, mentoring and educational services for those seeking to heal from past and current wounds in order to live more fulfilled lives. We provide tools for preventive measures, as well as for those in already existing pain or crisis.

How You Can Be a Vital Part of this Vision

Currently we have several wonderful options on the table for realizing the immediate goal of purchasing and/or building our non-institutional Home of Hospitality—a world destination and true American home—where people within our local regions and those from other areas around the greater world, will feel welcomed for individualized and small group services. The outreach will be offered during normal daytime hours for guests seeking our assistance. Many years of front-line experience in ministry to the whole person have prepared a solid foundation for this goal. We will work closely with military chaplains, civilian clergy, leaders and innovators in medicine, the arts, and education, as well as our Native American tribal leaders, in facilitating creative events, key-note speakers, seminars, luncheons and outdoor activities within unspoiled nature. Thank you for seriously considering walking alongside of us with your friendship, encouragement, support, and financial patronage. We welcome grants, gifts, endowments or other forms of contributions. Your help could be the necessary fuel to keep this little spitfire plane off the landing field and in the air! Yet, at the same time, we want you to know that each of you is infinitely more important to us than any amount of financial contributions. We thank you ahead of time for your support, prayers, and blessings on this outreach to our hurting world.
